R6 Siege:
Unlocking Operators - Attackers
A detailed guide to help choose which attacking operators to unlock in Rainbow Six Siege!
Introduction
The game has been out for 5 years now, and with new seasons come new operators. The choice of operators is bigger than ever!
Therefore, a quite common challenge new Rainbow Six Siege players are facing is choosing which operators to unlock next.
To help you with this decision, we have created Rainbow Six Siege unlocking operators guide for attackers.
We suggest treating this list as a recommendation, a suggestion if you will. It would be best if you unlocked R6 Siege operators that are interesting for you, those that you feel will match your playstyle.
Speaking about playstyles, we have separated unlocking suggestions to two main types of playstyles in Rainbow Six Siege: Aggressive (Entry Fragging) and Support.
AGGRESSIVE PLAYSTYLE
Aggressive players are those who fill in the role of an entry fragger.
Entry fragger is the first one to enter the building, to create map control and challenge roamers or anchors. In military terms, an entry fragger would be called a tip of the spear.
Such a mindset is best utilized by using operators with:
– high killing potential
– toolkit increasing odds of winning encounters
– speed
SUPPORT PLAYSTYLE
Now, the Support player plays a bit different role, as the name suggests. The most common attacking support tasks are Hard Breach, Breach Support, and defuser plant support.
What each support operator does and how they do that differs. Still, the main point is that they increase the odds of winning the round.
It does not necessarily mean that support-oriented operators will have no killing potential. In Rainbow Six Siege, every operator eventually becomes a fragger – kills are welcomed and, in fact, necessary to win rounds.
