Rainbow Six Siege Operation Crimson Heist

All you need to know about Rainbow Six Siege Year 6 Season 1 content – the Operation Crimson Heist

Rainbow Six Siege: OPERATION CRIMSON HEIST

Year 6 of Rainbow Six Siege opens up with a new season called Operation Crimson Heist.

Continuing recent trends, we receive 1 new operator (Flores), a rework of an existing map (Border), and a plethora of gameplay changes, as well as operator balancing updates.

RELEASE DATE:

MARCH 2021

OPERATION CRIMSON HEIST NEW OPERATOR

Flores is a second attacker in Rainbow Six Siege who focuses heavily on drones.

His RCE drones are remote explosive devices that help clear out defensive utility, push enemies off their fortified spots, or can even net a kill!

We recommend checking our full operator guide for Flores for more information!

REWORKED MAP: BORDER

New season, new rework. This time we get a rework of OG Year 1 Season 2 DLC map – Border.

The map got better but the new Border experience does not differ as much as we hoped it would.
Though, you should definitely try defending Tellers & Bathroom objective site now!

GAMEPLAY CHANGES: NEW FEATURES

GONNE-6

The first season of Year 6 brings us a new secondary weapon option – GONNE-6.

Instead of being a gun used for killing enemies when you ran out of bullets on your primary weapon, GONNE-6 offers utility. Specifically, this new secondary weapon allows us to destroy defensive gadgets, both unique (i.e. Evil Eyes) and universal ones (i.e. Barbed wires)

A long-awaited feature has been finally added in form of Beta, but only on PCs.
We can finally rewatch our last 10 matches and even share them with our friends!

This feature is not perfect yet and tends to lag, but it’s a significant step up in allowing players to improve and analyze their performance!

DEFUSER PRIORITY

Tired of having a defuser assigned randomly to your entry fraggers?

This change to the defuser assignment system is a great QoL improvement. Basically, if nobody “claims” defuser during the operator selection phase, the game automatically assigns defuser to the operator who tends to be on defuser duty ( i.e. Hard Breacher or Support operator)

GADGETS DISABLE STATE

Developers added a new state that gadgets can be in – a disabled state.

This applies specifically to attacking utility which is disabled by Mute’s Signal Jammers. The game now provides players with clear visual feedback.
In other words, a disabled state helps attackers to understand when they can activate their gadgets.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES: OPERATORS BALANCING

Signal Disruptor changes:

  • Jammer disables Claymores and Nomad’s Airjabs
  • Disable state displays for all gadgets affected by Mute’s Disruptors
  • Added Stun grenades, removed Frag grenades
  • Added GONNE-6, removed GSH-18 secondary weapon

Blackbeard was yet again nerfed, now to the absolute ground due to:

  • Decreased Faceshield HP to 20 (from 50)
  • Decreased damage on MK-17 to 40 (from 49)
  • Added Stun grenades, removed Frag grenades
  • Added GONNE-6, removed C75
  • Added Smoke grenades, removed Stun grenades
  • Damage of CSRX300 increased to 127 (from 122)
